This Win Was Personal… But It Was Also Bigger Than Me
Yes, my name was on the award.
But when I stood up to accept it, I felt like I was standing up for every woman over 60 who has ever felt overlooked, underestimated, or unsure if her best days were behind her.
Let me be clear: they’re not.
This award is proof that we don’t have to fade into the background as we age.
We can be strong. Vibrant. Energetic. Visible.
We can lead. Inspire. And feel better in our skin than we ever did in our 30s.
I call this my Third Act—and it’s hands down my favorite so far.
If you’ve been thinking that it’s “too late” to prioritize yourself, to feel amazing in your body, to step into the spotlight…
I hope this moment shows you otherwise.
💬 The Power of Friendship (We Don’t Talk About It Enough)
Here’s something I haven’t said often enough:
The women at my table Tuesday night—my girlfriends, my tribe—they didn’t just support me… they amplified me.
They clapped, they waved paddles that had my face on it, they cheered so loudly the whole room heard them. 😂
And in that moment, I realized how powerful it is to be surrounded by women who genuinely want to see you win.
There’s something sacred about that.
It’s not just about having people around you—it’s about having the right people.
People who don’t see your success as a threat, but as a victory for all women.
To those women – thank you so very much - I treasure you. Thank you for being my tribe.
✨ So... What Now?
Now, I keep doing what I love:
Empowering women to fuel their bodies, strengthen their minds, and rewrite the story of aging.
Because it’s not just about me.
It’s about us.
You, me, the women coming up behind us, and the ones walking beside us.
We’re showing the world that this season of life isn’t about shrinking, it’s about rising.
Whether you’re on your own transformation journey, just getting started, or still waiting for the right moment, I hope you know that it’s never too late.
You’re not done.
You’re just getting started.
And the best? It’s still ahead.
