So what should you do instead?

In 2026, let’s leave the “all or nothing” behind and lean into something that actually works: a lifestyle you can live with. Not a crash plan. Not a cleanse. Not punishment for enjoying the holidays.

Here’s what to do instead:

  1. Pick a direction, not a destination.

Instead of “I’m going to lose 20 pounds,” try:

Why? Because life isn’t linear, and neither is progress. Choosing a direction gives you freedom to grow without the pressure of a specific number on a scale.

You don’t need to wake up at 5 AM or survive on lettuce to be healthy. You need sustainable, science-backed habits that work with your schedule, hormones, and real-life cravings. (Like chocolate. And wine. Let’s be honest.)
