Every day we wake up with an opportunity to choose our next chapter.
That doesn't mean pretending the hard chapters never happened. In fact, some of our most difficult seasons become the very experiences that prepare us to encourage someone else. Our setbacks often become our greatest teachers.
I've met women who have rebuilt their lives after divorce, loss, illness, career changes, financial hardship, and overwhelming self-doubt. What changed wasn't just their circumstances.
They decided the next chapter would be different.
One of my favorite messages to share is this:
You are not broken.
You don't need to become someone else to live a joyful life. You simply need the courage to become more fully yourself.
Sometimes the next chapter looks like prioritizing your health. Or it could be leaving a relationship that no longer serves you. Maybe you are ready to start the business you've dreamed about for years.
Sometimes it's finally believing you're worthy of taking up space, using your gifts, and saying yes to opportunities that once felt impossible.
Big changes rarely begin with big actions.
They begin with one decision.
One conversation.
One workout.
One healthy meal.
One application.
One phone call.
One brave "yes."
That's how every new chapter begins.
As we move through July, I encourage you not to wait for January, your birthday, or "the perfect time" to make a change.
Life isn't asking you to have every page figured out.
It's simply asking you to turn the page.
Your July Joy Challenge
Take ten quiet minutes this week and imagine your next chapter.
Ask yourself:
- What do I want more of?
- What do I need to leave behind?
- What would I do if I truly believed in myself?
- What's one small step I can take this week?
Then take that step. Not next month. Not someday.
This week.
Because joy isn't found by staying stuck in yesterday.
Joy chooses the next chapter.
And the beautiful thing about your story?
You're still holding the pen.
